What is AbstractIMG?
AbstractIMG is a free abstract background generator and curated artwork gallery. Create backgrounds for websites, presentations and screens, or download an image from the gallery.
How do I create an abstract background?
Choose gradients, waves, blobs, geometry or contours. Set your colors, composition and canvas size, then download SVG or PNG. The generator runs on your device without signup or verification.
Can I reproduce a generated background?
Keep the renderer version, seed, colors, composition, complexity and canvas dimensions. The same complete settings reproduce the same deterministic design.
Are the gallery images native 4K?
The initial gallery uses 1672 × 941 source images with clearly labeled 3840 × 2160 upscales. Upscaling increases pixel dimensions without adding native image detail. Original PNG files are available.
Which screen sizes and file formats are available?
The generator exports SVG and PNG with custom dimensions. Gallery downloads offer JPG and PNG with crop previews for 16:9, 16:10, MacBook screens, phones, presentations and social posts. Crops preserve proportions instead of stretching the image.
Can I generate AI images on this site?
Interactive AI generation is disabled. Gallery artwork is created before publication. Each image includes its submitted prompt, source dimensions and available model and reasoning information; unavailable settings are marked as not reported.
How gallery images are prepared
The first three artworks were created through Codex built-in ImageGen. The tool returned 1672 × 941 PNGs, with no exact image-model version or reasoning parameter reported. The original files are preserved and each artwork page records its SHA-256.
Previews are optimized for browsing. The prepared 4K JPGs are labeled upscales. Other sizes use an aspect-preserving crop and browser resizing from the original PNG. A larger file does not contain more native detail.
Prompt-author models and reasoning are recorded separately from the image model. Unknown values remain explicit. A software-agent hint in a PNG is not a verified model version or a verified provenance signature.
